Every.org supports granting to international (non-US) charities in the following cases:
- The international charity has a US 501(c)(3) entity that we can disburse to
- The international charity has a US 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor that we can disburse to
- The international charity has a valid equivalency determination (ED) certificate with Every.org
International charity has a fiscal sponsor with a 501(c)(3) status that we may disburse to
If your organization has a US 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor, they may already have a nonprofit profile on Every.org which empowers them to create a project for your organization. Through our project feature, fiscally sponsored organizations may access all of our features, all while being linked to the fiscal sponsor organization for administration and oversight.
Please ask your fiscal sponsor representative to contact us so that we can help them to claim their profile and create your project.
Where can I find a fiscal sponsor?
If you don't have a fiscal sponsor, here are some resources where you may be able to find a fiscal sponsor:
- FiscalSponsorDirectory.org
- GlobalGiving
National Network of Fiscal Sponsors - Your local community foundation
- Your state's nonprofit council who may be able to help you in finding a sponsor in your state.
International charity has a valid equivalency determination (ED) certificate with Every.org
Equivalency determination (ED) is a process by which we determine whether an intended international grantee is the equivalent of a US 501(c)(3) public charity so that we may support them. Through this process, we work with NGOSource to collect detailed information about the grantee's operations and finances and make a reasonable determination of its equivalency.
Learn more about how equivalency determination works here.
Type | Cost | Processing Time* |
New ED certificate | $2,500.00 | 8 to 9 weeks |
Renewal for an expired ED | $950.00 | 4 to 6 weeks |
Ready to go ED (active with another grantmaker) | $250.00 | Immediate |
*dependent on your responsiveness to NGOSource's requests for information
If you'd like to pursue an ED, please contact us to get started. We will send you an invoice for the cost of the ED and request payment before we initiate the process, and once it has been completed, we'll be able to create your nonprofit profile for you.
Does Every.org support currencies other than USD?
Every.org only accepts USD, however donors can likely use credit cards or PayPal in their local currency and it will be converted into USD for us. Additionally, we also have an international wire transfer option for donations that exceed $5,000.00 USD in value.
Please note that our donation receipts are only tax-deductible in the US.
